I am trying to understand paramagnetism , and wondering if there are any home experiments is can do that illustrate it. So far, the only simple explanation i've received from someone is that paramagnetic materials have a magnetic resistance of zero, or something like that. well, that's great, but i would guess that a vaccum has the same properties. somebody please explain it to me :)
Or is paramagnetism irrelevant for me having only a moderate understanding of physics. I read wikipedia and other articles, and don't really care about the math aspect of it. I just want to know if there's a practical illustration of it. Thanks!

Hello from the UK. Right at the beginning of the film the first 'scene' is in an apartment where Rob's brother wakes up Lily, filming her asleep in bed. The view from the apartment window show a wooded area down below (Central Park I presume) bordered by a street of skyscrapers.

Anyway, I realize that the property tax that I am paying now does not correspond with the value of my home. I know that I should be paying less.

I've just received a letter in the mail titled "PROPERTY TAX REASSESSMENT." In short, it is an agency willing to act as my agent for the purpose of completing all steps necessary for filing an application and accepting a modified assessment through the County Assessor's Office and the County Appeals Board. This will temporarily reduce the property taxes to my home so that I can pay lower taxes, The fee is $85.00.

Anybody out there that can give me advice if I should take advantage of this? Or can I do this on my own?

I am divorced and was left with the kids and the home. I couldnt afford the home after March of 07. So I did pay the first few months of mortgage. I'm not at all new to horses, and I've owned before. I boarded at a barn that provided feed with the cost, so I never really had the experience of finding out how long a 50lb bag would last. Friends of mine have found a letter that says the landlords brownstone in which they rent has been in the process of being put on the auction block. They investigated today and it went on the block Jan 31st. Noone bought it. So it went back to the bank. They have a 2yr lease and have only been there for 6-7 months. They have 3 small children 6months, 2, and 3. The bank knocked on their door and told them they thought noone was in the property and will start the eviction process tomorrow. My question is what are their rights? How long can they "order to show cause"? What do they put in the "Order to show cause" so they can stay there 6months minimum so they can save money to move? Again. They know they will eventually have to move but its not fair to them the circumstances. What else including what I have asked can they do to delay this process 6months minimum? Ok I have a question about home refinancing. I do know that much about it and am hoping somebody can give me some insight. I will just be straight forward with the numbers. I bought a house in March 2007 for 158,000. I pay 1400 total for mortgage, includes condo fee of 200 and property taxes of 2000/yr. I have an 80/20 split loan with no PMI. The 80% loan has an apr of 6.25 percent and the 20 percent loan (downpayment loan) has an apr of 9.25 percent. My questions are
Can I refi yet at the new rates of 5.5%
Can i consolidate these two loans into one at a rate that is similiar to my 80 percent loan(6.25) or whatever the new market rate is at time of refi. Whichever is lower.
Can I possibly refi just my 20 percent loan to one with a lower apr? Whatever current market dictates?
This is my first home purchase and I took the 80/20 because I didnt have cash that I could put down. I NEED SOME HELP!!!!Thank you well in advance!!

I bought a 69 Mustang off a guy who had it sitting in a barn and left for junk. I'm going to restore it but the car has no title. The original owner probably left it for scrap metal or parts. Open Question: Hi, I installed windows vista to my Vaio and I can't get my speakers to work can somebody help me?

I have a Sony Vaio PCV-RX series (3-5 years old), 256 RAM but upgraded to 768 RAM, has a 16 GB C: drive and 21 GB D: drive, I installed windows vista and everything worked great until I tried to play some music I can't hear anything. There is a "no audio ouput device is installed" but the speakers that came with the computer worked well when Windows XP was previously installled. I installed Windows Vista in my D drive could that have done something? Do I need to download something? Do I need to get a sound card, which one? If somebody could please help with step by step directions.
All my connections are ok and there's noting wrong with my volume. I tried updating my driver "SoundMax integrated Digital Audio" but it doesn't do anything under properties it says "This device cannot start. (Code 10)

I did this but nothing was found.
